About This Work

Large and small ovoid forms cluster in vertical chains, their edges defined by fine, filament-like lines that thicken and taper as they stretch between nodes, creating a web of tension within a barely visible grid. Cooler teal and blue shapes occupy the left side, while warmer amber, red, and magenta forms concentrate on the right, establishing a subtle chromatic gradient that moves from desaturated to saturated hues across the surface. The overlapping transparencies generate secondary colors and soft halos, so that each form seems both contained and porous, pressing gently against its neighbors while respecting the underlying lattice. Negative spaces—pale cream pockets and elongated voids—thread through the composition, tempering the denser clusters of color and lending the work a sense of suspended, almost refrigerated stillness that quietly echoes the notion of "cold comfort."
